Shown below: the 2001 Spotnik award winners for Best Pop Act. This is our second year in a row to accept this honor. Thanks so much to all our fans that voted for us.

There's been a bit of confusion about upcoming Admiral Twin shows. The only honest-to-goodness AT shows currently planned are as follows:

August 18th @ Studio 310
August 30th @ Curley's with Nathan Brant 9:30pm

Back from L.A.--Land of Milk and Honeys where it's actually cold on the beach in the middle of summer (go figure...). We had a lovely time for the most part: swimming, shopping for music gear and used clothing, watching bands at the International Pop Overthrow (The Waking Hours and The Tories each put on a great live show), and of course playing for the faithful there ourselves. Once we get our pics scanned in, I might actually get busy and put something up here to look at.

'Til then...

Well...
I typed up a long, insightful, diatribe last month and my computer took one look at the final result, rolled over and died--taking the May news update to a digital grave. I was too annoyed (and, let's be honest--lazy) to retype it all so let me summarize by saying that it explained our current predicament: a dead record label, frustration, cynicism, and, on the other side of the balance sheet, some new demo recordings. The future's a bit dark and hazy again but never fear--four new songs have already come out of this. We also have some potential shows in the next couple of months and an "insider" tour video compilation that John's been working on. Stay tuned; you never know what might happen here next...

Is anybody out there? Just wondering. We've been feeling a bit disconnected lately. "Lately" being the last two years, of course. However, some quality connecting time is forthcoming. Interact with us at the following events:
Urban Renewal - April 21st, 5:45pm; 6th & Peoria park, Tulsa.
Majestic Lounge - May 11th, ; Majestic Lounge, Tulsa.
Mayfest - May 18th, 9pm; Pepsi stage, Mayfest, Tulsa.
International Pop Overthrow - July 24th, 10:50pm; Knitting Factory, LA.

Whoever said "no news is good news" was wrong.

Long time, no speak. No earth-shattering news right now (lucky for the earth, I guess) but a couple of things worth mentioning: We shot the video for Better Than Nothing At All a little while back and we like what we've seen so far from the video shoot. We shot the footage around downtown Tulsa and in the Church Studio where we recorded Mock Heroic. It was a lot of fun. We laughed, we danced, we fell down, we hit our heads, we cried--the usual stuff. We're not sure when the editing will be done. It's a tight labor market in our price bracket (thanks to Kathie Lee Gifford) so we're trying "alternative labor sources". Two of the goats already seem to have a good grasp of Adobe Premiere so we've got high hopes.
Also of note, Admiral Twin is going to make an appearance at Borders midtown for a performance this Friday (March 2nd) not sure what time in the evening we're playing but don't miss it. There's no telling when we'll play next...
